Lake Tahoe Boat Tour Questions and Answers

1. How many people can ride on a power boat or pontoon tour?
Our tours accommodate groups up to 13 people (depending on boat), making them ideal for families, friends, and small group outings.

2. Do I need a boating license to ride on your charter?
No. All tours are fully captained by a licensed professional who handles navigation, safety, and boat operation.

3. What tour durations do you offer?
We offer day trips ranging from 2 to 6 hours, along with a 2-hour sunset tour. Custom durations may be available depending on the schedule.

4. What should I bring (or not bring) on the boat?
We recommend swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, water, hats, sunglasses, and weather-appropriate layers. You’re welcome to bring drinks and snacks, but please avoid glass containers for safety and to protect the lake.

5. Are tours flexible? Can we change the route or stops?
Yes. While we provide popular recommended stops like Emerald Bay, Vikingsholm, Rubicon Bay, and hidden coves, your captain can adjust the itinerary based on your preferences, available time, and weather conditions.

6. Is alcohol allowed onboard?
Yes, alcohol is allowed. We simply ask that you avoid glass containers and skip red wine, since it can stain if spilled.

7. Can we swim or stop for water activities during the tour?
Yes, we can stop for swimming or relaxing in calm, protected areas when weather conditions and time allow.

8. What happens if weather or wind makes boating unsafe?
Safety comes first. If lake conditions become unsafe, your captain may adjust the route or reschedule your tour. When possible, alternate times or refunds will be offered if a trip must be canceled.
